D.E.P. mandated upgrades that needed to be made to the system. These upgrades included dam and spillway repairs, 2 additional water tanks, and interconnection between the 2 water systems (Rattlesnake and Whetstone), repairs to the chlorinator building, a new water well and additional alert alarms.

2 grants were received for this project for a total of $2.9 million.
